My wife and I have been doing personal training with Home Park Fitness for a few years. Home Park Fitness is very flexible which allows us to train outdoors when weather is good and indoor at a private gym when the weather is bad. We’ve most recently been training at home in our garage during COVID. Eric and his team are top notch!! Highly recommend.
Working with Home Park Fitness has been such a great experience! My husband and I have been training with Eric for over 3 years now and have nothing but good things to say. The workouts are effective and I enjoy that he continually introduces new moves into our sessions so I never get bored. Eric is a superb trainer and someone who has helped me make considerable strides toward achieving my fitness goals. He is also extremely flexible with arranging sessions at different locations and times in order to accommodate my busy schedule. Eric has also been more than accommodating during the Covid-19 pandemic by providing both Zoom and in-person sessions which has allowed for added convenience as well as additional safety precautions vital to staying healthy.
He has been invaluable in my quest toward getting into shape and I recommend him to anyone looking for assistance in achieving their own fitness goals.

I worked with Eric for over a year on muscle growth and general conditioning…absolutely amazing experience and results. He tailored the program around my specific goals and maintained an excellent balance between various practices (weights + body-weight exercises; balancing, flexibility and mobility work; conditioning / cardio / high-intensity drills, etc.). He had a solid understanding of how the body works, so, for example, if I was ever feeling a pain or weakness in a particular area, he always had a trick up his sleeve to swap out a particular exercise, or introduce an additional one to help rebalance / initiate recovery. He never took any short-cuts or let our sessions end without getting through his list, and was sure to provide workout plans during the periods in between working out with him. Only reason I had to stop was because I left Chicago, but otherwise I would still be working with Eric!
Eric has been my personal trainer for a year. He is a great teacher and I really enjoy training with him.
I have a pretty busy schedule and can only make it to the gym 2 times a week. He set me up with a full body workout that really works for me. I learned a lot and feel a lot more comfortable in the gym on my own now.
He was also really flexible in working around my schedule and squeezing in workouts.

Honestly, if I ever have to leave Chicago, one of my greatest concern would be that I have to switch trainer, as I know that it’s very hard to find a trainer like Eric. Prior to meeting Eric, I had tried some home work out programs, group training, as well as personal training, but none were sustainable. The reason is that my energy level and health issues fluctuate and change unpredictably. On top of all of that, I have very little will power and I am very easily bored.
I was so happy to find Eric since he has a special knack for customization, possibly because working with injuries is one of his specialties. On many occasions, I only reported to him a new health issue on the day of the training, and he would be able to make a very effective substitution on the spot. Moreover, after observing my reactions for a while, he could now accurately predict which exercises I would enjoy and design workouts that I would find “fun” and effective.
Due to Eric’s help, for the first time in my life, I have been able to consistently work out and improve. When we started, I couldn’t do a single push up, and now we regularly do 30-40 pushups in one session. My energy level (and hence life quality) increased. Friends and family who haven’t seen me for a while all commented on how fit (and hot :-)) and more lively I look. That’s why I highly recommend Eric!
I’ve been working with Home Park Fitness for 1.5 years. The thing I like most about my trainer, Eric: he takes the time to get to know you, your personal goals, and makes sure you do enough of the things you hate (while peppering in the things you like so you can get a mid workout smile). He focuses on form and every workout will have some type of mobility exercise thrown in.

I was hesitant of getting a personal trainer but now am a covert after a few work-outs from Home Park Fitness. They focus on good form and proper technique to help you achieve your goals and get into shape.
Home Park Fitness has been great during the Covid pandemic. They come to wherever you want to work out. I have been able to workout outside, in a park, safely away from other people the last few months.
They are super convenient, well priced and professional. I cannot speak of them any higher. They’re great!
When working with a personal trainer, it’s critical you find someone that understands your goals, designs the right program for you, helps to motivate you, and adjusts the program as you meet goals or when your needs or goals change. It’s also critical that you like being around the person. I have worked with three different personal trainers over the past 5 years and Eric was surely the one delivered the best package of all these things. He asked the right questions, and helped me shape a program to meet my needs. We focused on a full body weight training workout three days a week including one personal training session weekly, supplemented by my own cardio and core-focused program on the other days. Every session hit all of the muscle groups, and for the first time I noticed short term (and long term) significant increases in strength across a variety of exercises. Where other trainers seemed to bend, and change a training program quickly and with too much variety, Eric had a more disciplined approach with good balance and some variety designed specifically for me. I especially liked the “finisher exercises” at the end of my workout – usually involving a bike, some dumbbells or my favorite – the battle ropes. He also designed the whole program around some personal physical limitations, brought about by an old hip surgery, adapting the workout for my needs. He also showed up prompt and with a smile and positive attitude for our 6:30 AM personal training sessions 100% of the time. Eric has been great and highly recommend him.
Wanted to share some feedback. I have been training with Eric Moritz for a year and a half now (1-hour sessions 2-3 days a week) and just wanted to say that I’ve had an excellent experience working with him. As a trainer, Eric is attentive, timely (always), flexible and I get the feeling that he is as committed as I am to achieving my goals. I appreciate his professional approach and the effort he puts in to ensuring that I have both a positive and productive experience. I have been working with Eric ~1/week for the past nine months. He is a fantastic trainer. He has carefully designed several different routines catering to my current strength level and goals. When I dedicate myself, I absolutely see significant improvement through Eric’s programs. Lastly, he always shows up on time with a positive attitude focused on motivating me through a great workout. It is refreshing to work with someone that is solely focused my self improvement. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a personal trainer!
I’ve been working with Eric for about 7 months, and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Going into my initial sessions with Eric, I was someone who had no idea how to even begin a workout, and had no confidence in utilizing strength training as a work out option. In the time I’ve been with him I’ve gained a confidence in the gym, and with my body, that was beyond what I’d expected or thought I would achieve. Eric has been incredibly consistent with programs that are built around my goals, and flexible with the needs of my body throughout those programs; and as a result I’ve been able to reach fitness goals I didn’t think possible. Beyond that, I’ve learned more about my body, and how muscle groups work together, through Eric’s expertise, which has translated to understanding how to use my body better in every day life, and how to take better care of it. Throughout all of the above, and just as importantly, Eric always shows up with awesome enthusiasm, and energy, for our sessions together, and is incredibly flexible with my schedule week to week. Eric has been incredible, and I would recommend him to anyone!
I would like to relay how much I have enjoyed working with Eric and his impact to my overall wellbeing. We first started training about two years ago. His professionalism and friendly demeanor immediately allowed me to feel comfortable discussing my current health, past challenges and goals moving forward. This carried through to our training sessions in several ways: understanding the state of my initial physical abilities, tailoring my program to address the specific areas I highlighted and pushing me in an encouraging way that continues to generate self-motivation.
During the first year, I saw significant improvements in my physical strength and energy. Eric continually amends my sessions to keep them both interesting and challenging. His attention to technique is unwavering and find his ability to discuss the science and thought behind different movements to be very meaningful. During all sessions, he is jovial and easy to chat with while also constantly checking in on my energy level as well as how any one given exercise has affected my body. This past year I experienced some health issues that curtailed the frequency of my sessions to which Eric has been very understanding. In addition to creating a space where I felt comfortable discussing those issues, he also amended the intensity and type of movements to address my recovery needs.
Eric has constantly demonstrated that he is one of the best at what he does from a litany of perspectives: knowledge base, communication skills, tailoring workouts, positive energy and, most important to me, feeling heard and understood with regards to my overall health goals. Moreover, in my experience those same characteristics are not just reserved for his clients. He is always helpful and genial with other trainers or patrons as well as being mindful of gym etiquette and maintenance. I would not have the positive health outlook today or motivation to continue reaching my goals had I not started training with Eric. I am very grateful for the impact he has had and find his overall approach to be distinctive from any other trainer I have worked with in the past.
